Here are some brief notes on the Twitter Files that reveal the suppression of the New York Post reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop’s contents three weeks before the 2020 presidential election.
* Twitter is a powerful tool for good and evil. Elon Musk’s attempts to create a new Twitter with a positive disposition to free speech have made him an enemy to the regime. They are pleading with the regime that this cannot be allowed. The regime is looking for a way to make Musk’s new Twitter work for them like the old Twitter did for the New York Post reporting. The battle is ongoing, and it is barely visible.
* The Post’s reporting about the Hunter Biden laptop was important and powerful. The Post was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in recognition of its work on this case. In light of Post’s work with the Biden laptop, the 2021 Pulitzer Prizes/Journalism roster reads like a comical masterpiece.
* I believe Twitter’s uses are obvious, but they don’t include long-form journalism. It’s awkward to read Matt Taibbi thread about old Twitter’s suppressions of Post’s reporting. Taibbi’s explanation proves beyond reasonable doubt that Twitter did not have any legitimate reason to suppress the Post’s reporting.
* Taibbi’s exposition is lacking a few pieces. Miranda Devine fills in one in the New York Post column . “FBI warned Twitter during a ‘weekly’ meeting of Hunter Biden hack-and-leak operations’ before censoring The Post.” The Post editors continue today in . “FBI’s fake warnings about our Hunter story were clearly an attempt to aid Joe Biden.”
* The suppression by the Post of its reporting was a deep-state operation. It was first exposed publicly in the open letter from the deep state 51, which Natasha Bertrand reported for Politico. The letter was also posted online by Politico. Bertrand’s story was headlined “Hunter Biden story Russian disinfo, dozens if former intel officials claim.” Politico posted the letter. The deep state signatories said that the Post’s reporting “had all the classic earmarks a Russian information operation.”
* What are the “earmarks?” Are they similar to investigative journalism? Are they based on authentication of the underlying documents
* The letter’s signatories italicized the following: “Perhaps the most important, each of our beliefs deeply that American citizens should decide the outcome of elec8ons. Not foreign governments.” We all agree with the concerns of the founding fathers about the potential damage foreign interference can cause to our democracy .”. And this:
* Ah, Russia Russia!
* The signatories also italicized a concluding sentencing commenting upon reports that the federal authorities were investigating whether Rudy Giuliani’s material was “part of a smokebomb of disinformation pushed Russia.” The signatories modestly denied personal knowledge, saying that they did not know if the reports were accurate. However, they do raise concern within Executive Branch agencies and departments that mirror ours. It is high-time Russia stopped interfering with our democracy em>
* What does the deep state 51 have now to say? Jon Levine reports in The New York Post: Former top intel chiefs remain silent following Musk’s Twitter disclosures.” Only a few have spoken out against their sham.
* Hey, Natasha Bertrand! What can she say?
* Twitter had its own deep-state man as its deputy counsel. Jonathan Turley takes up the case in “Twitter documents reveal familiar name in Hunter Biden laptop scam: James Baker.” Quotable quotation: “For many James Baker is fast becoming Kevin Bacon of Russian collusion scandals.”
