Brinton: They are terminated // Scott Johnson
Two weeks ago, Alpha News editor Anthony Gockowski reported the meticulously detailed story about the alleged theft by Sam Brinton of a woman’s luggage at Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (they, them and theirs). The perpetrator, who was captured on video, was perhaps the first openly transgender person to hold the leadership of a federal agency. In this case, he was the deputy assistant secretary of Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition at the U.S. Department of Energy. He self-identifies himself as non-binary.
We have a series of posts that follow their story. Brinton was most recently discovered in a “second baggage heist” at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport. Brinton, along with Assistant HHS Secretary Rachel Levine is a sign that times are changing. They could be the proud face of the Biden administration, both of them.
Brinton’s case is different. Their service is in the past. “Sam Brinton has resigned as a DOE employee. According to law, the Department of Energy can’t comment on personnel matters,” a spokesperson from the Department of Energy told The Daily Beast Monday. The Daily Beast isn’t telling the whole story. It reports it under the headline with the bracketed comment, “[Extra Baggage]”.
