The Twitter Files show that the New York Post suppressed its reporting on the Biden family corruption at Twitter’s request. This was at the behest and cooperation of the deep state officials. Natasha Bertrand published the absurd letter from 51 former intelligence officials. It was a key piece to the puzzle. Holman Jenkins discusses it in his Wall Street Journal column ‘Hunter Biden’s Laptop and 2020’s First Big Lie.. He says it like this:
51 ex-intelligence officers claimed that the laptop’s appearance “has all of the classic earmarks a Russian information operation.” They were lying. There is no precedent in the long history of Kremlin dirty tactics for such a ludicrous act. The officials couldn’t even clarify what they meant. The Russians had stolen a real laptop and leaked it to the media. A fake laptop was created with thousands upon thousands of photos, videos, and documents that look almost real. Most of them were designed to be scandal-free or not. The New York Post provided a detailed and complete account of how it got the laptop data. It produced a subpoena that was dated and showed that the FBI had been in possession of the original laptop for several months and would be able to determine if the data were false.
It was obvious at the time that the absurdity of the intelligence veterans’ claim wasn’t true. It was obvious to the people running America’s major news outlets (at minimum, those who aren’t idiots) that it was true.
It was so obvious that America’s largest news organizations had to be silent because of their complicity. The truth of what I wrote in week one is still true: “It should register with you how cravenly certain people in the mainstream media try to convince you that something isn’t true that it is true.”
The national reporting staffs at the Washington Post, New York Times, and other outlets are so compromised that they can’t trust them on the biggest stories of the day. To take a page out of the CIA’s history, Jeff Bezos would need to recruit a “Team B”, an off-site team from his Washington Post, to investigate the laptop ruse and then ask his newspaper to report the truth, however uncomfortably for its newsroom or leadership.
You should also rethink the FBI’s and Robert Muellers decision to drag out the collusion inquiry in order to harm a president they didn’t trust. It should make you reconsider James Comey’s commodious resolution of the Hillary Clinton email case based on secret Russian intelligence that he made sure would remain secret from you.
If it could refute these stories, our press would bring them to light. But it can’t so it ignores ….
And, I would also like to add, it is now time to make Elon Musk public enemy number one
