ax of a Farce // John Hinderaker

It was obvious that Nancy Pelosi’s bizarre “January 6 Committee” would recommend that the Department of Justice bring criminal charges against Donald Trump. This was always the point. The committee was referred for obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy defrauding the government-whatever it means, and inciting or aiding an insurrection.

It is not uncommon for Congressional committees send such referrals the Justice Department. These actions are rarely publicized and DOJ often ignores them. In this case, it seems sadly likely that Merrick Garland, our corrupt Attorney General will indict Trump. I assume he has been a part of this plan for a long time.

I have nothing to say about the proposed fees. As they become more concrete, we may discuss them in greater detail. I will note for now that there was no insurrection. The January 6 sham of Democrats mischaracterizing a demonstration in which no one thought to bring a firearm was an “insurrection” was always the lie at its heart. The fact that Donald Trump sought legal ways to challenge initial voter counts is not criminal. Ask Al Gore.

If Garland is involved in the plot to indict Trump, it is likely that he will be convicted. The prosecution is likely to be held in Washington, D.C., which Trump is deeply opposed to. If there is a trial, it will be held in a lynch-mob atmosphere similar to that in which Derek Chauvin was convicted in Minnesota of murder. Many people are open to the possibility that Trump could become the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. I believe that he will be in prison or facing an unjust appeal in 2024.

This story cannot be understood without considering the unimaginable and malicious hatred that the Democratic Party, and more broadly the American establishment have harbored against Trump since his inception as a political figure. The “January 6 Committee” and the likely criminal prosecution that will follow are a dark chapter in our country’s history.
