ast: The 3WHH Celebrates Stanford’s Christmas List // (Steven Hayward).

Because you can have heard, Stanford “University” embarrassed itself this week by issuing a list of 160 words or phrases that you simply shouldn’t use because they are not necessarily sufficiently “inclusive” or very sensitive, including even “trigger alert, ” because, Stanford helpfully explained, “The phrase could cause stress about what’s to adhere to. You can’t know exactly what ” And although “American” is among the phrases Stanford disapproves (which caused me to break precedent in addition to quaff Maker’s Mark as opposed to Scotch whisky, because damnit), strangely the phrase “Merry Christmas” does not appear on checklist of “Harmful Language. ” Must be an oversight, or simply Stanford’s geniuses are the type of ignoramuses who deny of which Die Tough is a Holiday movie.

You might hardly ask for a more interesting Christmas gift than Stanford’s list. We thought to make list a drinking online game for this episode, in which we consider a shot every time each of us all used one of the terms through the list, but we swiftly realized that we’d all be approved out within five minutes. In the 160 terms or terms on the Stanford list, your current 3WHH bartenders managed to employ 108, (several of them numerous times), which we assume will get us banned coming from campus henceforth.

This politically incorrect terminology came in handy for looking at the insanity of the omnibus budget bill and Mitch McConnell’s role in its passageway, and the release at last in the J-6 Committee report, which often, at 800 pages, will probably require a lot of whisky in addition to milk and cookies inside the morn to get through.

Merry Christmas, everyone! We’ll be back with another episode before New Year’s next weekend, and we are definately aim to use the remaining fifty-two words from the Stanford checklist that we overlooked this week. In order ”

So verify off the list of banned phrases here, or take the Nakatomi elevator up to the Ricochet lounge .
