Yesterday, President Biden attended a joint press conference in Mexico City with Prime Minister Trudeau (and President Lopez Obrador). The White House has posted the transcript.
Following a meeting at the Three Amigos Summit, the press conference was held. They could be called the Three Egregios. They are extremely destructive leaders. America is in bad hands.
After reading prepared statements from the Three Egregios, Biden said he was having difficulty hearing and then called Colleen Long, an AP reporter, to ask the first question. She asked Biden if he could explain how classified documents ended in one of his offices and if the public would have been notified sooner. Biden responded to the question by reading from a prepared statement.
Jonathan Turley writes in a New York Post column this AM that clearly marked classified documents include those at “Top Secret/Sensitive Computmented Information” (TS/SCI), and contain material related to Iran, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
The short answer to the Long Question is that Biden could not explain and wouldn’t say anything about the reason the public wasn’t notified sooner. Each sentence in Biden’s statement is either questionable or raises additional questions.
Let me start with the easy one. People know that I take classified documents and classified data seriously.
How can we know this? Perhaps because he called President Trump “totally irresponsible” to do what Biden did before knowing that Biden had done the exact same thing.
My lawyers were cleaning out my office at Penn. They set up an office in the Capitol for me. This was four years after I was Vice President.
What did Biden’s lawyers do “clearing out [your] University of Pennsylvania office”? Biden was a Penn professor on a $1,000,000 per year salary. Or was it just another Biden family enterprise in which you took money from a foreign government.
They found some documents in a box, which was either a locked cabinet or closet. They discovered that there were classified documents in the box as soon as they opened it. They did what was right: They immediately called Archives and turned the documents over to Archives. I was informed about the discovery and surprised to discover that any government records had been taken to that office.
“At least a closet!” He was briefed on the “discovery.”
But I don’t know the contents of the documents. My lawyers have not suggested that I ask about the documents. I have turned over the boxes, they have turned over the boxes the Archives. We’re fully cooperating with the review. I hope it will be completed soon and will provide more detail.
We look forward to that day.
Please see Alana Goodman’s Washington Free Beacon Story revisiting China’s foreign contributions to University of Pennsylvania. Goodman reports that foreign contributions to the University of Pennsylvania increased more than three times in the two years since the Penn Biden “think-tank” opened. The majority of the $61million came from China. Goodman links to her 2021 Free Beacon Story reporting about Chinese donations to Penn.
Goodman has the money quote. “Stephen MacCarthy,” a spokesman at the University of Pennsylvania, dismissed any notion of a link between the Penn Biden Center, and foreign donations to UPenn which surged after the think-tank was launched, said Goodman. He told the Free Beacon that ‘100% of the budget for Penn Biden Center is from university funds’ on Tuesday.
