Joe Biden lashed out at the Supreme Court on Thursday after a 6-3 ruling came down that dismantled affirmative action nationwide. The ruling is just one of a series of landmark decisions that the Supreme Court has handed down this term.
Universities and left-wing activists have already released statements blasting the Supreme Court for its decision that could open up universities to lawsuits if they continue to incorporate racial preferences in to their admissions process.
Biden claimed that the Supreme Court’s decision that will prohibit racial discrimination goes against what the ‘Constitution says’, going on to confuse the Constitution with the Declaration of Independence.
Biden cited the pre-amble to the Declaration where it said “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal” in disagreeing with the Supreme Court’s decision.

Not satisfied with his first inaccurate statement, Biden went on to say that the Supreme Court’s ruling on abortion in Dobbs gives states powers that ‘we fought a war over’.
After being criticized for his inaccurate statements, Biden attempted to walk them back by saying that the Supreme Court has ‘unraveled’ basic rights.

Joe Biden criticized the Supreme Court’s rulings in the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade and striking down racial preferences in college admissions and stated that the court is straying away from what “the Constitution says, we hold these truths to be self-evident, all men and women are created equal, endowed by their creator” and that ruling that there isn’t a right to privacy in the Constitution and states can make their own laws on abortion in Dobbs is “giving states power that we fought a war over in 1860.”
Biden said that the court has “done more to unravel basic rights and basic decisions than any court in recent history. And that’s what I meant by not normal. It’s gone out of its way to — I mean, for example, take a look at overruling Roe v. Wade, take a look at the decision today, take a look at how it’s ruled on a number of issues that are — have been precedent for 50, 60 years
