Ten days after the OceanGate Titan’s implosion, which resulted in the deaths of all five passengers, the primary images of the damaged submerged debris have surfaced.
Large portions of the sub were brought to shore in St. John’s, Newfoundland, on Wednesday morning. Pelagic Research Services, a US-based ocean research tools and services company, recovered the debris.
Photographers were ready to take pictures of the torn-apart sub as the Titan debris was unloaded from the Horizon Arctic ship, which transported it to St. John’s harbor in Newfoundland, Canada, despite what appeared to be attempts by the workers to cover the pieces.

Following the crew’s return, Pelagic Research Services shared a message on social media praising the perseverance of its team, saying,” Bravo, and welcome back, team!” You have made all of us incredibly glad of the flawless work you did. Keep your cool as you complete demobilization, and we’ll see you again at base operations.
The company looked for the sub pieces about 12,500 feet underwater using remotely operated vehicles( ROVs ) to find the debris. The ROVs discovered the Titan’s chambers in a sea of debris, it was revealed on June 23.
The crew eventually finished its off-shore operations after 10 days of arduous work. After today, a press conference will be held by Pelagian Research Services.
As the investigation into the dreadful accident goes on, the sub’s recovered pieces will be sent for examination.
Regarding the submersible investigation, the US Coast Guard, representatives for the National Transportation Safety Board, and transportation safety board of Canada ( TSB ) have all declined to comment.
As the investigation is still ongoing, we are unable to offer any further information, according to Liam MacDonald, a TSB spokesperson.
Five people perished as a result of the Titan submersible’s explosion: Stockton Rush, CEO of OceanGate, American billionaire and explorer Hamish Harding, European diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, and his 19-year-old son Suleman.
When the sub lost contact with the crew of the major ship, the Polar Prince, these passengers had just been diving for one hour and 45 minutes to visit the Titanic wreckage. This disappearance sparked a frantic four-day search effort that included aquatic experts and authorities from Canada, the United States, and France.
