Titan Submarine’s CEO is a descendant of TWO U.S. founding fathers.

OceanGate, the business behind the missing Titan sub, is owned by a multi-millionaire who is descended from two U.S. Founding Fathers. A submersible owned by OceanGate Inc. left on Sunday for a deep-sea tour of the Titanic shipwreck, according to Stockton Rush, the company’s founder and CEO. The crew on the transportation ship, yet, lost contact with the underwater below in the depths of the sea just one hour and 45 minutes into the journey.
The sub was carrying five passengers, all of whom will shortly run out of oxygen if they are not located. Just sufficient oxygen was provided to the sub for about four days.
One of the five people on board the abandoned submarine is Stockton Rush, 61, the founder and CEO of OceanGate.
Rush, who flew for Saudi Arabian Airlines at the age of 19, was the world’s youngest jet transport-rated pilot. He later earned a degree in aerospace engineering from Princeton.
Rush’s first aspiration was to be the first person to set foot on Mars, but by the time he was 44, his focus had shifted to the ocean rather than space. Rush mentioned his shift in focus in 2017 and said,” I realized that what I actually wanted to do was explore.” The ocean is the last frontier in our lifetime, and I wanted to be Captain Kirk.

Rush established OceanGate in 2009 and later started his illustrious Titanic expeditions.
The Daily Mail reports that Rush’s ancestors include Richard Stockton and Benjamin Rush, 61.
Richard Rush, the U.S. Attorney General, and the American Civil War commander Richard Henry Rush are two additional significant ancestors.
Rush had reportedly been informed that his company was ignoring safety concerns that could result in a potentially” catastrophic” outcome years prior to the Titan submersible’s recent disappearance.
Former OceanGate employee David Lochridge actually sued the company in 2018 alleging that the submersible’s passengers were in” potential extreme danger in an experimental submarine” as a result of” OceanGates’ refusal to conduct critical, non-destructive testing of the experimental design of hull.”
In the end, this lawsuit was resolved outside of court.
Along with Rush, the missing submersible is also carrying European diver Paul-Henry Nargeolet, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, and renowned explorer Hamish Harding.
