Alexee Trevizo, 19, gave birth to a full-term baby boy in the hospital bathroom in late January. The disturbed teen, who threw her infant son into the hospital bathroom trash can, is currently on trial for murder charges.
Before going to court, Alexee Trevizo was permitted to attend her high school graduation ceremony at Artesia High School in New Mexico despite being arrested in May. The horrifying circumstance that followed Alexee’s brutal choice to leave her infant to suffocate in the bathroom trash was remembered by the hospital staff. After she tried to give birth covertly, her dead son was left to perish. She complained of hip and stomach pain and visited Artesia General Hospital.

The earliest to discover proof that Alexee gave birth in the restroom and abandoned the infant to suffocate was the cleaning staff. While cleaning, Dia Lewis found the infant. She started wiping down the bathroom walls, toilets, and surfaces after removing blood from the floor, according to Daily Mail. The nursing staff feared Alexee had a miscarriage and only later realized she had gone into labor, giving birth to an entire-term baby boy while locked in the calm restroom. She described the gruesome scene to the detective, saying,” It was, gruesome, bloody, massacre, mess.” The toilet flush, they claimed, continued to be audible. She later claimed she was unaware of her pregnancy while being examined in her hospital room for hip and chest pain. Chris Sanchez, the charge nurse, claimed Trevizo informed him that she was on her period when he visited her during the almost 20 minutes she had been imprisoned in the restroom. Sanchez remarked,

I twice or three times checked on her. The sound of the paper towel dispenser running and flushing persisted. I finally said,” You need to come out.” She simply opened it and left. She walked up without saying anything, and when I entered the restroom, I noticed a significant amount of blood on the floor and the rear wall. I asked,” You OK?” What took place? I’m on my period, she said.
Lewis talked about the agonizing realization that he had to do everything double after discovering a baby in the trash and realizing that his face had been sanctioned to the plastic bag, cutting off his hair supply. Normally, I throw my trash initially, but that particular night, for some reason, there was some weight in it when I picked it up after feeling it and looking inside. I began removing the trash, and when I did, I noticed a baby inside. The bag was fastened to his face. This blood was recent. You might also be able to smell it.

Lewis was startled by the trauma, but he called the nurses and doctors right away. It appears that several medical professionals tried to save the baby before performing an autopsy. In her hospital room, Alexee was with her mother. When Alexee’s nurse enquired as to whether the infant was breathing, she explained what had transpired.
I asked if I could go because I had been experiencing severe chest pain and felt like I needed to poop. They said yes. The nurse claimed Alexee said the infant had just fallen out and that when she held him in her arms, she had said,” It wasn’t breathing, and it was not moving.” Of course, you want to be very critical at that point and bite your tongue, the nurse continued. When Alexee was questioned about why she had dumped the baby in the trash, she responded,” Well, why didn’t you call us for help?”
Alexee, who has been charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence, will return to court in September.
