Automakers are Making Electric Cars No One is Buying

broke and awake. Similar to how soy meat substitutes were supposed to be the big thing until it turned out that the majority of people enjoyed eating meat just fine. Many automakers began producing energy vehicles that people couldn’t afford and didn’T want as a result of pressure from the government, ESG, and elite echo chambers. This year, the number of EVs in stock across the country increased by almost 350 %, reaching more than 92 000 units.
That equates to a 92-day supply, or approximately three months’ worth of EVs and almost twice the industry standard.
For comparison, as they recover from pandemic-related supply chain interruptions, dealers have a fairly low 54 days’ worth of gasoline-powered vehicles in stock. There is typically a 70-day supply during regular times. That presents a minor issue. Keep in mind that the standard 5-year plan calls for the elimination of true cars by 2030. In 2025, Ford anticipates selling 2 million electric vehicles. That’s an increase from 61, 575 the previous year. How do you become a millionaire after selling tens of thousands of cars? In 2023, the automaker didn’t also sell 2 million vehicles. How is it going to sell 2 million vehicles of a kind that several people need or can afford?
The trendy electric pickup truck manufacturer spent$ 220, 000 to produce vehicles that sold for$ 81, 000, which was a poor return on the Ford / Soros investment in Rivian. Ford will suffer a significant loss of money. Ford predicted that in 2023, it would lose$ 3 billion on electric vehicles.
Ford reports its electronic vehicle numbers individually, unlike most automakers, but according to experts, the majority of car manufacturers are losing money on the dead end business in a similar way.
By 2025, GM wants to sell 1 million energy vehicles. In 2022, it sold less than 40, 000 units. However, the party’s messaging, which will hold auto dealers accountable for failing to sell customers the cars they don’t want while selling them the ones they do, is already in the works. In terms of embracing electric vehicles, there is a sizable gap in readiness between consumers and dealers. 53 % of consumers, compared to only 31 % of dealers, believe EVs are the future and will largely replace gas engines over time. Nearly half( 45 %) of the dealers polled believe that EVs still need to establish themselves in the marketplace. Even though there are a lot of energy cars on dealer lots, it is the dealers’ fault that no one is purchasing them.

Woke and broke. Soy meat substitutes, which were supposed to be the next big thing, were not. Most people preferred meat. The combination of government bribes, pressure, ESG, and elite echo chambers caused a lot automakers to make electric cars that people could not afford and did not want.
This is a 92 day supply, or roughly three months worth of EVs. It’s also nearly twice as much as the industry average.
As a comparison, dealers are holding a relatively small 54 days worth of gasoline-powered cars in their inventory as they recover from supply chain interruptions caused by the pandemic. Normal times, there is usually a 70 day supply. That’s a bit of a challenge. Remember that the official 5-year plan is to eliminate actual cars by 2030. Ford expects to sell two million electric cars by 2025. This is up from 61 575 last year. How do you get from selling thousands of cars to selling millions? The carmaker did not sell 2 million vehicles in 2023. How can it expect to sell two million vehicles that few people want or can afford?
Ford is going to lose a lot of cash. Ford reported that it will lose $3 billion in 2023 on electric cars.
Ford, unlike most automakers reports its electric vehicle numbers individually, but experts estimate most car companies lose similar amounts in the dead-end business.
GM plans to make 1 million electric vehicles by 2025. It sold less that 40,000 cars in 2022. But we’re already seeing the messaging of the party, which will blame car dealerships for not selling consumers the cars they want while also selling them the ones they don’t. According to the survey 53% of consumers believe EVs will replace gas engines in the future, compared to 31% of dealers. Nearly half of the dealers surveyed (45%) believe that EVs need to prove themselves on the market.
