After being caught in the act with a prostitute in his car and asked officers to” help him out ,” the Detroit Police Board of Commissioners member resigned in disgrace.
Bryan Ferguson, a past chair of Detroit’s police oversight board who represented District 1 for the DPBC, announced his resignation on Thursday after it was revealed that he had been discovered on Wednesday morning with the prostitute.
Ferguson told the Detroit Free Press in a statement that” serving the residents of Detroit in police oversight has been an honor and savor.”

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office issued a vulgar and immoral conduct citation on July 12 for District 1 Detroit Police Commissioner Bryan Ferguson. In the vicinity of Schoolcraft Road and Sorrento Avenue that morning, covert deputies reported seeing Ferguson having sex with a well-known prostitute in his truck.
A Detroit police chief has resigned following his arrest in a car with a prostitute. Bryan Ferguson, who represents District 1 of the DPBC was caught “in action with a woman in his car.”

A member of the Detroit Police Board of Commissioners resigned in shame after he was caught with a prostitute inside his car. He then asked officers to “help him out.”
Bryan Ferguson, who was the District 1 representative for the DPBC, and the former chairperson of Detroit’s Police Oversight Board, announced his resignation Thursday, after news broke he had been caught with the sexworker on Wednesday.
In a statement, Ferguson told the Detroit Free Press that it was an honor and privilege to serve residents of Detroit as police oversight.
