Socialist BLM Mayor Arrested After Invading Homeowner’s Property

The Left was ecstatic when Khalid Kamau, a BLM activist and Bernie Sanders supporter, took office as mayor of South Fulton, Georgia. He started putting his plan into action right away. Kamau wants to totally embrace South Fulton’s identity as a Black city. He coined the phrase” Black On Purpose” to describe the kinds of policies he wants the city to promote— policies that consciously enhance the lives of Black people.
His vision for the city— a highly educated populace and the ideal location for Black business— is centered on being” Black On Purpose.” But he claims that having courageous conversations about identity, insecurity, and purpose is necessary to get past the growing pains of being a new city— and the Blackest city.
Kamau contributed to the founding of Black Lives Matter’s Atlanta chapter earlier that year. He claims that by this point, the organization’s platform covered a wide range of topics, including housing, income inequality, therapeutic justice, and more. Kamau was not interested in getting involved in democratic politics at the time, but Movement for Black Lives members were.
But this new city in the SWATS ,” he thinks back. This city is going to be extremely dark, I thought. The City of South Fulton is that location, if there were always a laboratory to test out all of these policies. A Georgia mayor was charged with burglary and legal trespassing on Saturday, which made it possible for one of the five City Council members who sued him this year to temporarily replace him.
South Fulton’s mayor, Khalid Kamau, was accused of first-degree burglary and criminal trespassing. On the same day, he was freed from surety bonds worth$ 11,000.
According to NBC affiliate WXIA of Atlanta, he was even given the go-ahead to have his cognitive health assessed.
Kamau was removed from office in March after Williams-Brown and four different council members filed a lawsuit against him. According to court records, just two council members were not parties to the lawsuit.
According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, which was published at the time, Kamau is accused of deliberately disclosing private information for his own benefit since being elected and of recording private executive sessions.
For more than a year, Kamau and the council have been at odds with one another. In June 2022, the council requested an investigation into Kamau’s charges against a city-issued credit card that were found during an audit.
However, perhaps he was simply redistributing some property. He requested that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation look into the City Council for potential corruption the following month, according to WXIA. According to the police report, the homeowner was alerted by a surveillance camera on his phone at 6:52 am that Kamau was entering his property. The owner claimed that after getting dressed, he observed Kamau walk up the driveway toward his house and lake house, which is situated on the property a little further apart.
According to the homeowner, Kamau was now inside the lake house when he got into his truck. He described approaching Kamau in a” careful manner” to the police before dialing 911. He told Kamau to” stay put” while he was on the phone with 911 and added that she didn’t want him to approach him.
The homeowner claimed that as Kamau started to leave the lake house in the yard, the homeowner shouted” stay put” again more while holding a gun. You can’t give me orders, Kamau said in response, according to the police report.
Kamau allegedly asked the homeowner,” Do you know who thef — I am?” after he put down his gun. As the mayor, I’ll wait until my police arrive to see what transpires.” From BLM to … just wait till my cops arrive.” But it turned out that the policeman was an honest one.

Khalid Kamau is a BLM activist who supports Bernie Sanders. He was elected mayor of South Fulton in Georgia. Kamau began implementing his vision quickly. South Fulton’s identity is something he wants to embrace fully. Kamau coined the phrase “Black on Purpose” to describe the type of policies he wanted the city to implement — ones that would intentionally improve the lives of Black people.
His vision for the city is “Black on Purpose”. He wants a highly-educated citizenry, and he wants it to be the best place for Black business. He says that overcoming the growing pains and being the Blackest City will require having courageous conversations about purpose, identity and insecurity.
Kamau had helped found the Atlanta chapter Black Lives Matter earlier that year. He says that by this time, the organization’s platform had touched on housing issues, income inequality, and restorative justice, among others. Kamau was the only member of the Movement for Black Lives who did not hesitate to engage in electoral politics.
“…But the new city in SWATS,” he recalls. “I was like ‘This city will be super Black. ‘And if there was ever a place, this is the place to test all of these policies.” There’s a problem at the lab. A Georgia mayor was arrested on Saturday for burglary and criminal mischief, which led to his temporary replacement by one of the five City Council members that sued him earlier this year.
Khalid Kamau was charged with criminal mischief and burglary in the first degree. He was released on the same day after posting $11,000 in surety bond.
He was also ordered by NBC affiliate WXIA in Atlanta to undergo a psychological evaluation.
Williams-Brown, along with four other council members, sued Kamau to remove him from his office in March. Court records show that only two council members were not parties to the suit.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that the suit alleges Kamau knowingly disclosed and recorded confidential executive meetings for his benefit, since his election.
Kamau and the council have been at odds for more than a year. In June 2022, the council requested an investigation by the district attorney’s offices into transactions Kamau made on a city issued credit card.
WXIA reported that he asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation the following month to investigate the City Council over possible corruption. But maybe he was simply redistributing property? The police report states that at 6:52 am, the homeowner received an alert on his phone that a person identified as Kamau was walking onto his land. The homeowner stated that he put his clothes on and watched Kamau walk along the driveway towards his home and lakehouse, which are located a little further away on the property.
The homeowner claimed that by the time he got in his truck, Kamau had already entered the lake house. He told police that he approached Kamau “cautiously” and then called 911. He told Kamau “stay put” while he was talking to 911. He did not want Kamau near him.
The homeowner reported that Kamau started walking away from the small lake house in his yard, prompting him to shout “stay seated” again while he held a firearm. The police report stated that Kamau responded with “you can’t tell me orders”.
After the homeowner placed his gun down, Kamau is alleged to have told the homeowner: “Do you know who I am?” I’m the Mayor and I’ll just wait until my police force gets here to see what happens. But it turned out to be an honest cop.
