While Georgia has just received all the attention, Democrat Attorney General Kris Mayes in Atlanta is getting ready to accuse original President Trump and his allies of undermining her party’s victory. According to a spokesperson for the attorney general, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes’ office is still looking into an alleged attempt to use different electors to support former President Donald Trump after the 2020 presidential election.
Arizona is one of the seven states that Trump lost in 2020, but where it is claimed that his allies tried to sway the electorate in a dishonest manner. It is unclear the length of the investigation, its status, or its scope. Democrat Mayes spoke about the investigation for the first time in public on Wednesday.

Even though it is much more serious than anything in any of the indictments— from Obama to Biden to state and local AGs and DAs like Mayes— investigating your political opponents to eliminate the political opposition has gotten away with it. Arizona law enforcement officials have even investigated Kelli Ward’s activities as a phony elector and past Arizona GOP chair. Prosecutors have questioned potential witnesses regarding a December 2020 signing ceremony where Ward and 10 other Republicans incorrectly attested to being Arizona’s reasonable electors, according to Rolling Stone, who reported next week. Mayes claims to have won her seat by 280 votes, so why doesn’t she only say that she’s looking into it and imprisoning the whole Arizona GOP? The tyranny of the slimmest majority round is being able to outlaw and imprison your political opposition because you received 280 more votes. If those are the innovative regulations, Mayes might want to think about what might happen if she loses the appeal or fails to use the legal system to terrorize and intimidate her opponents, forcing her to face a Democratic Attorney General with more power.

According to Rolling Stone, prosecutors are asking possible witnesses about a signing ceremony in December 2020 where Ward and ten other Republicans falsely swore to be Arizona’s electors. Why doesn’t Mayes announce that she is investigating and locking up the Arizona GOP since she claims to have gained her seat by 280 more votes? Mayes should consider the consequences if the new rules are implemented. If she loses her appeal or fails to intimidate and terrorize her opponents through the legal system and has to face a Republican Attorney General, she may want to reconsider.
