The Bulwark, a website started by ex-Republicans who detested Trump so little that they abandoned any conservatism they claimed to support, criticizes the media for spending too much time researching Trump voters but no Biden voters. In order to comprehend the voters who elected him to the White House, reporters don’t go on safaris to” Biden Country.” Nothing compares to the continuous coverage of white men in Ohio diners, even though there are articles explaining how, for instance, dark women in Georgia suburbs significantly impacted the 2020 election.
I used crowdsourcing to find out if anyone knew of any examples of journalists attempting to understand the Biden voter in case I had a blind spot. Several had any ideas. For different reasons, I concur that the Biden voter is just because phenomenon-driven as the Trump voter. Biden voters lack a movement, whereas Trump voters helped create one. Voters for Trump, conservatives, and anti-leftists are all present, but not for Biden. Yet Jill probably didn’t positively support Joe Biden. Despite the White House’s best efforts, there was an Obamacare but no Bidenomics or anything similar. People don’t support Biden; instead, they support Trump or the Democratic candidate who will win this election. It only portrays a bad image. There was a real following for Obama. Democrats, lefties, and some independents who had been led to believe that Trump( like every Republican running for office ) represented the end of civilization and humanity ushered Biden into office by a political machine that used the black vote in the South to drag him through the primaries. Biden’s supporters weren’t the people screaming in the streets while wearing red hats. Some of them were unable to identify him. While Biden is a historical placeholder that is defined by what he is opposed to rather than for, Obama stood for an entire movement. There are no Biden voters; instead, there are people who, for social, cultural, economic, or other reasons, oppose any alternative to a broken system. Nobody casts a ballot for Biden. Simply put, they reject the alternatives.
Reporters don’t go on safaris to “Biden country” to try to understand the voters that put him in the White House. There are articles explaining how black women in Georgia suburbs played a major role in the 2020 election. However, the coverage of white men eating in Ohio diners is far more extensive.
In case I had a blindspot, I asked on social media if anyone knew of any examples of journalists trying to understand the Biden voters. I agree that the Biden voters are just as important as Trump voters for different reasons. Biden voters are the absence a movement. Where Trump voters helped to form a campaign, Biden supporters are the absence of one. There are Trump voters as well as conservative voters and anti leftist voters. But there are no Biden votes. I doubt that Jill voted for Joe Biden. Obamacare was there, but Bidenomics and Biden anything is not. People don’t vote against Trump, they vote for Biden or which Republican will be on the ballot. It’s a negative image. Obama had a genuine fan base. Biden was brought into office by a political apparatus that mobilized black voters in the south in order to drag him through primaries, and then by Democrats and lefties who were conditioned to think that Trump (like all Republican candidates for office) represented civilization’s end and the end mankind. The people in pink hats yelling in the streets were not Biden supporters. Some of them couldn’t even name him. Obama represented a movement, while Biden is defined in history based on what he’s against and not what he’s for. There are no Biden supporters, only people who oppose any alternative to the broken system they’re invested into for cultural, racial or economic reasons. No one votes for Biden. They vote against the alternatives.
