Sen. Tommy Tuberville( R-Ala) has requested that the Biden administration make a decision between senior officer promotions and abortion in the military. Three of Biden’s appointees — Army Secretary Christine Wormuth, Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro, and Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall — co-authored an editorial in the Washington Post that criticized Sen Tuberville for” putting our national security at risk” with his stance on military promotion. They insist on putting abortion ahead of national security and assert that doing so will” have a caustic effect on the force.” According to the Biden appointees, it is” more crucial and important than national security” for the military to perform abortions on demand. In the end, Biden’s defense personnel and Sen. Tuberville are engaged in a standoff in Mexico. Both civil and military representatives of Biden had the option of choosing between abortion and national security. Sen. Tuberville is allegedly endangering national security, despite their repeated claims to the contrary, they are by definition extremely responsible for any claims they make about him. They are acknowledging that they are prioritizing abortion over federal security if they assert that Sen. Tuberville is opposing it. But which do they support more, abortion or America? Biden’s appointees – both civilian and military – had the opportunity to choose between abortion or national security. They have argued endlessly that Sen. Tuberville’s opposition to abortion is endangering the national security. But any statement they make about him, is by definition also true of them.
