San Fran Hit Bottom. Now 2 Candidates Are Competing to Get Tough

No, I don’t believe that the nation’s brief pro-crime nightmare is around. The Left is closely entwined with the pro-crime movement. It has a lot of support from the media and powerful donors. It’s the single narrative allowed now that BLM is in the picture, and anyone who disagrees, even if they’re charcoal, is charged with racism. However, if there were a change, it would appear that the city is Ground Zero for pro-crime, for unleashing hordes of zombies to prowl the streets, and for deciding to compete on getting strong on crackheads. San Francisco Mayor London Breed appears to be so skeptical of voters’ liberal attitudes that she is betting her reelection on a turn to the right.
The Democrat mayor is proposing that in order to qualify for cash assistance, the city mandate that all recipients of county-funded welfare undergo drug screening and, if necessary, treatment.
” No longer shall anything be done without accountability.” Breed said on Tuesday,” No more handouts without accountability.”
Breed’s proposal was framed by critics as a quick change as she runs for reelection. She made the announcement the same morning that Levi Strauss’ heir and philanthropic executive Daniel Lurie declared he would run against her in the upcoming election.
Speaking to supporters in Potrero Hill a few miles apart, Lurie declared that he would work to significantly expand San Francisco’s police force. This isn’t actually novel; he vowed to” slam the door shut on the era of open-air drug markets and end the perception that lawlessness is an acceptable part of life in San Francisco.” Breed attacked a awoke school board and assisted in the removal of Chesa Boudin, replacing him with Brooke Jenkins, who, while not ideal, is at least an improvement over the pro-crime Soros DA. She may have acted in this way because she was weary of leftists destroying the city, but it’s more likely that she felt the voters’ pulses. And now there is an election where two San Francisco candidates who should be progressives are beginning to compete on being strong and advancing a” broken windows” philosophy. Lurie began as the founder of Tipping Point, a nonprofit organization that aimed to end homelessness. He had to learn the hard way that it was ineffective. or so one might believe. He continues to mention more shelter space, though. Does San Francisco signal a change in the country? most likely never at this time. And one of the main reasons is that, despite the public’s readiness, politicians like Giuliani, who helped take a stand on crime and blight in the 1990s, have not already done so. There is a clear lack of strong, describe voices that can articulately lay out an agenda for law and order. It’s difficult to pinpoint why, but a significant portion of the cause might be that the Democrats have mostly been absorbed by the Left while the Republicans are experiencing extreme dysfunction. And as a result, what is happening in San Francisco is even more noteworthy.

No, I do not think that our short national nightmare of pro-crime is over. The pro-crime group is closely integrated with the Left. The media and wealthy donors are major supporters. BLM is the only narrative allowed, and anyone who disagrees is accused of racism.
The Democratic Mayor proposes that the city require that all recipients of county funded welfare undergo drug screening and treatment if necessary in order to qualify for cash assistance.
“Nothing more will be done without accountability.” Breed said Tuesday that “no more handouts” without accountability were allowed.
Critics framed Breed’s proposal as a reelection campaign expedient. She announced her campaign on the same day that Daniel Lurie announced that he would challenge her next year. Lurie is a nonprofit executive, and heir to Levi Strauss.
Lurie, while speaking to supporters in Potrero Hill a few miles from San Francisco, said that he would work to increase the police force. He promised to “slam shut the era open-air drug markets, and end the perception of lawlessness as an acceptable part of San Francisco’s life.” This isn’t new. Breed pushed out Chesa Bodin and replaced him with Brooke Jenkins, who is far from perfect but is at least a better choice than the pro-crime Soros District Attorney, and attacked the woke school board. He learned the hard-way that it doesn’t. Or so one might think. He’s still talking more shelter space. Does San Fran herald an American turnaround? Not yet, most likely. One major reason for this is that, while the public may be ready, politicians like Giuliani who were instrumental in tackling crime and blight during the 1990s have not yet emerged. There is a distinct lack of articulate voices that can lay out a law-and-order agenda. It’s difficult to say why, but one reason could be that the Democrats are largely swallowed up by the Left while the Republicans have fallen into a state of catastrophic disarray.
