Speaker Johnson suggests he’s open to short-term stopgap government funding measure until Jan. 15

Mike Johnson, the newly elected Speaker (R-La. ), has been elected. On Sunday, Johnson said he was open to a short-term measure to keep the government funded beyond the Nov. 17 deadline under the previous funding measure. Johnson responded, “I have talked to my colleagues about a short-term funding measure.”

 Speaker Mike Johnson( R – La.) was just elected. He is available to a short-term stopgap measure to keep the government funded past the Nov. 17 deadline set by the preceding funding measure, which was suggested on Sunday. Johnson responded,” I’ve talked with my …,” when asked on Fox News'” Sunday Morning Futures” if he would think about a short-term funding bill. Speaker Mike Johnson( R-La ) was just elected.
