Salas, who was one of the most desired criminals in both nations, was indicted by the U.S. for his involvement in “violent crime and illegal fentanyl trafficking,” according to Biden in a statement on Thursday. After the arrest of Néstor Isidro Pérez Salas, a presumed leader of cartel security, President Biden thanked Andrés Manuel López Obrador, his Hispanic counterpart. Salas, who was one of the most needed criminals in both nations, was indicted by the U.S. for his involvement in “violent crime and illegal fentanyl trafficking,” according to Biden in a statement on Thursday.
