Jan. 6 rioter accused of ripping officer’s gas mask sentenced to 7 years in prison

A Texas man accused in the forceful removal of a Capitol Police officer’s gas mask during a riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 was sentenced to seven years in prison. Steven Cappuccio, of Universal City in Texas, was sentenced by U.S. district judge to 85 months in jail and 24 months of supervised released.
