Jeffries suggests Democrats could support GOP stopgap funding bill

Hakeem Jeffries, House Minority Leader (D-N.Y.), suggested Monday that Democrats might support the Republicans’ bill for short-term funding to prevent a shutdown of the government — a dramatic change in tone that could pave a way for an easy passage on Tuesday when the bill is brought up. Jeffries did not say anything in a letter he sent to all House Democrats.
