Joe Manchin, a Democrat from West Virginia, has been a highly contested individual in current political affairs. On Wednesday, Manchin stated to NBC News that he would consider launching a presidential campaign in the future. Last week he said that he wouldn’t seek reelection to his US Senate seat in 2024, prompting many media figures and analysts to ask if he was preparing to run for president. NBC presenter Kristen Welker queried Senator Manchin repeatedly in an aired dialogue on Wednesday regarding whether he would declare a candidacy for the U.S. presidency. And I’m saying, ‘I will consider anything.'”

Manchin declared that he was willing to help the country in any way he can, and when asked if that included running for president, he responded with, “I’m prepared to evaluate any option that could assist my nation.” Manchin affirmed to Welker when they spoke that everybody in America should become involved if they can to help keep the country going. He observed in a published piece of writing from earlier in the year that the ‘extremes of the left and right’ are the greatest menace to the land and people of the middle can help America progress. When he reported last week that he wouldn’t be running for re-election he stated he wanted to see if anyone was keen to generate a campaign to motivate the middle. He repeated that idea during his discussion with Welker, making comments both about former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.
