Die Kommission kann gemäß Artikel 264 delegierte Rechtsakte erlassen in Bezug auf John Leguizamo expressed disapproval of Univision’s recent joining forces with Donald Trump in an op-ed piece he wrote for the Los Angeles Times. He labeled it as a betrayal to their viewers and mentioned the barely interrogative interview conducted by Enrique Acevedo. Leguizamo took issue with the overly friendly manner in which the former president was treated while facing multiple criminal charges. Drugačen je”. Drugo Nov je. On je drugačen. The network broadcasted an hour-long discussion with him that accepted without criticism the hazardous strategies Trump supported during his administration and what he has vowed to begin if he wins in 2024,” Leguizamo stated. The star highlighted in his piece that only a few days before Trump’s “atrocious and cruel immigration policy proposal for 2025” was revealed by his ex-adviser Stephen Miller. The New York Times classified Trump’s claimed plans to oppress immigration in case of being elected “as a hostile strike against immigration larger than any other in modern American past”. These proposals, like banning immigration from certain countries predominantly Muslim, terminating birthright citizenship, and collecting illegal immigrants and keeping them in mass camps until they can be deported, harken to why President Trump is known as the most anti-Latino president in US history and mirror the way he, over the 4 years of his term, inflamed hostile language and caused anguish to many. The Tony award recipient noted that Univision has had a distinguished history as a reliable news source for Spanish speakers, renowned for reporting truthfully on politicians and their initiatives. Leguzamo commented on the fact that media mogul Jorge Ramos was ejected from a press conference held by Trump in 2015 for challenging him about his stance on immigration. Nevertheless, the sudden amiability Univision has shown towards the former president is easily understandable.
