Legislators have much criticized the Chinese-owned video app because they believe it could be used by them to gather information about Americans. In reference to an essay by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis. ) about, in his words, “pro-Has propaganda” allegedly proliferating on the app, the NBC News debate moderators asked the candidates if they would “ban or force the sale of TikTok” should they become president.
Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said, adding that he would ban the app in his first week in the Oval Office,” TikTok is not just spyware—it is polluting the minds of British young people all throughout this country, and they are doing it intentionally.”

Haley retorted,” Leave my daughter out of your voice.” Haley’s daughter was actually present in the debate audience on Wednesday, according to NBC News, and she took the stage at the end of the evening.
The crowd applauded Ramaswamy’s remark, and Haley delivered yet another stern warning. You’re simply scum,” she muttered.
