Chris Christie was sentenced to prison
The ex-Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, was handed a jail term. That Donald Trump caused thousands of people to go to the hospital and die in this country — this disgusting, awful manifestation of division and bigotry and stupidity — trashing everybody he can, that’s the guy who is ahead in the polls. How sad for our country,” Christie said.
Chris Christie (R) spoke strongly about Donald Trump at the Republican presidential debate on Wednesday, describing him as comparable to a hostile character from a story. Following a long verbal confrontation between Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy, Christie stated the absence of Trump from the debate despite being first in the polls was disheartening. He also labeled Trump’s actions as “disgusting, awful manifestation of division and bigotry and stupidity” which led to the hospitalization of thousands of people throughout the U.S. and in the long run, sadness for the entire nation. Christie mentioned the three candidates present on stage suggesting that they are contesting against someone who should not be named — a reference to Voldemort. He further spoke about Trump, the frontrunner in the Republican contenders, who has yet to attend any debates. Christie has not held back in expressing his disagreement. “They certainly don’t want to discuss him,” he remarked. He believes Trump is a dictator, a bully, and someone that harshly criticizes anyone who dissents, which is why the other candidates remain silent. “It’s clear he’s not suited to be president,” Christie concluded. Christie established the importance of Trump’s candidacy in this run, emphasizing that the facts need to be acknowledged. Christie’s statements were released shortly after Sean Hannity held a forum where President Trump dodged concerns about whether he would misuse his authority once in power, joking that he would only become a “dictator” during his first day in office. Prior to the discussion, Christie stated to NBC News that he believes Trump “has the intent of ruling like a dictator throughout his time in the White House.” Contribute to HuffPost.
