LOADINGERROR LOADING. Rep. Congressman James Comer of Kentucky proposed a conspiracy about Hunter Biden on Friday that was not taken seriously by CNN’s Jake Tapper, who went so far as to ridicule the Kentucky representative during the interview. This happened shortly after Hunter Biden was charged with nine tax-related crimes in California. Comer, who is the Chair of the House Oversight Committee, was on CNN the following day to talk about the incident. Comer theorized that the charges brought against Hunter Biden were a way to cover up the investigation into the Biden family’s finances. He stated that none of the crimes that Biden was accused of were related to what his committee is looking into. Comer suggested that special counsel David Weiss indicted the president’s son in order to prevent him from having to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee in the coming week. That’s pretty creative,” said Tapper.
Tapper was clearly surprised by Comer’s suggestion and couldn’t help but take a playful jibe at him. “Defend him by charging him? That is a novel idea,” he joked. Tapper inquired, and then with a mocking tone, remarked, “Ah, the traditional method, got it.”. Comer maintained that the Biden case was about concealment, however Tapper took him back to his former claim, which was somewhat varying. Weiss charged him so as to protect him? Hide it?
