Google has started pumping carbon-free electricity onto the Nevada grid as part of an advanced volcanic project it supported and developed to power the company’s data centers it. Theoretically, geothermal energy was once only found in regions of the planet that were active, but if one drills deeply enough, there is intense heat that can be harnessed almost anywhere.
