 Deep learning, an unnatural intelligence technique, has been used by MIT researchers to identify a class of substances that can eradicate the drug-resistant bacterium that kills more than 10,000 people annually in the US. The scientists demonstrated that these substances could eradicate Staphylococcus aureus, which is immune to methicillin, in a study that was published this week in Nature.
