Der Kommission wird die Befugnis übertragen, gemäß Artikel 264 delegierte Rechtsakte in folgenden Bereichen zu erlassen: On Thursday Senators proposed legislation called the Fans First Act that aims to tackle problems that people have reported when they are trying to buy tickets to shows. The bill necessitates that sellers be transparent when it comes to ticket details including cost. All ticket vendors must reveal the total cost of the ticket, the exact seat or section to which the ticket applies, and if the customer is buying the ticket from a primary or secondary source. This is a requirement for promotion. Kennedy and Menendez, will stiffen existing penalties if it is enacted

If the bill is approved, consequences could be serious; $201,000 could be incurred for each day of the violation, and $1,000 for each event ticket advertised or sold. This bill, created by Sens. Kennedy and Menendez, along with four other legislators, would strengthen the current punishments if passed. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) are coming together a year after a large number of grievances were made about the ticket sales techniques and exorbitant pricing of major ticketing firms like Ticketmaster and resale sites such as StubHub and Vivid Seats. Friday, in a statement, Cornyn remarked, “the existing ticket system has copious issues and does not fit the needs of fans, teams, musicians, or venues.” This law would help restore confidence in the ticketing system by punishing bots and other people who make unethical profits by taking advantage of customers through unjust prices and other unfair strategies and making the cost of tickets more transparent to buyers. In 2022, Ticketmaster (which had been formed following the merger between itself and Live Nation in 2010) conducted a presale event for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. People who managed to get into the early sale said there were many obstacles they faced while trying to buy tickets, such as the Ticketmaster system failing and having to wait for hours to get access to tickets, which caused Ticketmaster to cancel the public sale the next day.
