DeSantis responds to Trump’s Civil War remarks: ‘I don’t even know what he’s talking about’

Ron DeSantis, Republican presidential candidate, scoffed at the recent claim by former President Trump that he could’ve negotiated the end of the Civil War in 19th century. DeSantis, Florida’s governor, told ABC News in an Iowa interview on Sunday that he didn’t know what Trump was talking about. ….

 Previous President Trump’s subsequent assertion that he could have negotiated the end of the Civil War in the 19th century was mocked by Democratic presidential candidate Ron DeSantis.
