According to a recent complaint from the National Labor Relations Board, eight employees of SpaceX, the space flight company owned by Elon Musk, were unlawfully fired after they criticised Musk’s use of social media.
The complaint is based on an open letter from June 2022 that was posted on the company’s interior chat system and in which fired workers urged SpaceX to” quickly and directly separate itself” from its owner as a result of the social media posts Musk was making that were becoming more and more erratic and inflammatory. The letter also asserted that SpaceX had broken both its” No Asshole” and zero tolerance sexual harassment policies. The NLRB has presently discovered proof of at least 37 labor violations following a yearly investigation.

According to reports, SpaceX has until January 17 to submit a proper response. In March 2024, the case will go to trial.
