German Reporters Just Unveiled a Far-Right Deportation “Masterplan”

In recent years, the far right has made significant gains around the world. In Europe, the far-right has made impressive showings at elections in Finland and Sweden. French President Emmanuel Macron won his office only after a tight race with far-right candidates.

The far-right has advanced significantly over the past few years throughout the world. In Europe alone, Italy has chosen a member of the nation’s neo-fascist party to lead the country, far-right parties have made remarkable performances in the elections in Finland and Sweden, French President Emmanuel Macron has just been elected after competitive elections with candidates from the far right, and far, right groups have long held significant power in Hungary and Poland.
The far-right Other für Deutschland has also benefited from a growing base of backing and influence in Germany. European investigative reporters released a bombshell report on Wednesday outlining how they plan to use it.
AfD politicians met in secret with right-wing extremists and neo-Nazis to discuss a “masterplan” for mass deportations, including of native European citizens, should the party come to power, according to the German publication Correctiv and the Guardian.
Two lower-level AfD politicians, Hans Christian Limmer, a co-owner of an American burger chain, and two members of the mainline traditional Christian Democratic Union party were among those present, along with Roland Hartwig, an ex-member of parliament who serves as the party’s personal assistant and currently serves in the Bundestag.
At the meeting, far-right Austrian extremist Martin Sellner gave a speech. Sellner established the Identitarian Movement of Austria, which is a subset of the same-named pan-European far-right movement. Sellner has even been linked to Generation Identity, a far-right organization in Europe whose French faction has attacked Muslim women. He has amassed a sizable social media following and has become well-known on the European way straight, despite being barred from many mainstream platforms since. He continues to be effective on Telegram and other social media platforms with a small following.
Sellner and his ascent, according to German far-right researcher Miro Dittrich, demonstrate significant currents influencing the way proper in Europe. ” His concept is to use culture to sway politics.” Politics will follow if you change the culture, Dittrich says, adding that Sellner’s available discussion of his attempts to gain influence has drawn extremist researchers. The meeting demonstrates that wealthy individuals and thought leaders continue to seek him out, Dittrich continues.
Sellner maintains an interest in American-based extremism and is married to the far-right American Brittany Pettibone. In order to stage protests, he has appeared to imitate the Patriot Front by ordering his personal group to dress in facemasks and hat costumes and load into box trucks in a similar manner. Additionally, Sellner was connected to the shooter in Christchurch who killed 51 people in a New Zealand mosque. The shooter sent 1,500 euros to Sellner’s Hungarian identitarian organization during their 2018 email exchange, according to The Guardian.
Before deportations could be carried out targeting three significant groups: asylum seekers, foreign residents, and “unassimilated citizens,” Sellner argued in the late revealed meeting that “metapolitical, post- political power” must first be built to” change the climate of opinion” in Germany. Sellner proposed building a “model state” in Africa where 2 million people could “remigrate.”
Correctiv noted the dark background Sellner’s ideas are based on (via Google Translate ):
The National Socialists intended to deport four million Jews to the island of Madagascar in 1940, so Sellner’s design is suggestive of an antiquated notion. Whether Sellner is thinking of the traditional parallel is questionable. The fact that the Wannsee Conference’s house is about eight kilometers away from the hotel where the Nazis organized the rigorous eradication of Jews may also be a coincidence as to why the organizers chose this villa for their conspiratorial meeting.
Dittrich explains that in reality, related AfD “plans have been in the open” while Correctiv framed its report “around the secret meeting and underground plan.”
Neo-Nazis and right-wing extremists, including Sellner, have frequently met with AfD members since the party’s founding in 2013. Some of them have been identified as AfD employees. And even though the party denies being a neo- Nazi organization, party members have been exposed as such. Immigration across the nation has experienced increased discrimination and violence as a result of the party’s rise, not only in AfD-supporting regions in the south but also in Berlin.
Although Sellner frequently interacts with the AfD, Dittrich claims that the meeting’s presence of Christian Democratic Union supporters was unsettling. Additionally, he thought it was noticeable that a number of well-known businesspeople were listed as donors and prospective donors to extreme-right organizations and causes connected to the meeting.
According to Deutsche Welle, German Chancellor Olaf Schloz criticized the meeting on Thursday, tweeting,” We protect everyone—regardless of origin, skin tone, or how miserable someone is for fanatics with assimilation fantasies.”
Sellner and another meeting attendees made an effort to distance themselves from the report. Sellner claimed his words had been taken out of context and claimed the conversation had never been about a” secret masterplan.” The AfD claimed that the party officials who attended were just there in a “private capacity” and denied having any plans to deport “unassimilated migrants.” The even- right has advanced significantly over the past few years throughout the world. Regarding solely Europe, Italy’s neo-fascist party has managed to install one of their members as the head of state. Similarly, far-right factions have performed remarkably well in elections held in Sweden and Finland. Notably, French President Emmanuel Macron managed to secure his position after a closely contested battle with far-right candidates. Furthermore, far-right political entities have for a considerable time maintained a strong presence in nations such as Hungary and Poland. In Germany, the far-right group Alternative für Deutschland has seen an increased surge in their following and influence. On Wednesday, German investigative journalists released a revealing report outlining their intentions. The German outlet, Correctiv, exposed a covert meeting at a resort where AfD politicians, right-wing extremists, and neo-Nazis fleshed out a strategy for widespread deportations, including those of naturalized German citizens, if their party were to gain power. This was referenced as a “masterplan” in an invitation viewed by both Correctiv and the Guardian. Participants included Roland Hartwig, a former AfD parliamentarian who acts as a personal assistant to the party’s co-chair, a current AfD Bundestag member, two minor AfD politicians, Hans Christian Limmer, a co-owner of a German burger franchise, and two members of the mainstream Christian Democratic Union party. Far-right Austrian extremist, Martin Sellner, was a speaker at the gathering. Sellner is the founder of Austria’s Identitarian Movement, which is a component of a similar-named far-right movement that spans across Europe. Sellner has also been linked with Generation Identity, a comparable European extreme-right organization, whose French division has been involved in attacks on Arab women. He has made a name for himself in the European far-right scene by amassing a substantial following on social media, although he has now been prohibited from using many mainstream platforms.
