LA Times Guild to hold walkout protesting layoffs, unfair labor practices

The Los Angeles Times Guild announced that it will walk out on Friday to protest unfair labor practices and layoffs. The Los Angeles Times management has announced its intention to lay off a large number of journalists in the near future and is asking the Guild not to protect seniority rights in our union contract.

 In protest of layoffs and cruel labor practices, the Los Angeles Times Guild has declared that it will go on strike on Friday. The Los Angeles Times ‘ management has stated that it plans to fire a sizable number of journalists soon and is requesting that the Guild remove seniority protections from our union contract. In opposition to layoffs and cruel labor practices, the Los Angeles Times Guild has declared it will hold a walkout on Friday. The Los Angeles Times ‘ management has stated that it plans to fire a sizable number of journalists soon and is requesting that the Guild eliminate seniority protections in our union contract.
