Trump’s refusal to sign the Illinois oath confirms something that should be obvious: if he wins the Republican nomination for president and then loses in the general election, Trump would once again claim victory and claim the election was rigged.

 Trump’s failure to take the Illinois oath supports what should be clear: If he wins the Republican nomination for president but loses the general election, Trump will reclaim his victory and accuse the election of being rigged. Trump will once again assert his victory and claim the election was rigged if he wins the Democratic presidential nomination but loses the general election, as should be clear given his failure to take the Illinois oath.
