White House: Biden ‘comfortable and confident’ in authorities to conduct strikes against Houthis

After some Democrats criticized him for bypassing congressional approval, the White House said that President Biden was confident in his authority. White House national security spokesperson: “We are very confident and comfortable with the legal authority that the president exercised in conducting these strikes.”

 Following criticism from some Democrats that he evaded parliamentary approval, the White House declared on Friday that President Biden is confident in his authority to carry out retaliatory strikes against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
