Near Nipton, California, which is not far from the California-Nevada border, the crash occurred at about 10 p.m. local time on Friday.
Around 8:45 p.m., the helicopter departed Palm Springs Airport and headed toward Boulder City, Nevada, which is close to Las Vegas. There were reports of rainy and chilly weather in the area at the time of the crash.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the NTSB, and the FAA are among the National organizations looking into the crash.
According to Fox News Digital,” the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB ) will investigate.” The investigation will be overseen by the NTSB, who will also provide any updates.
Governor of the Edo State Obaseki stated in a statement that he is “extremely shocked and devastated” by Wigwe’s passing on X Saturday.

The crash occurred at around 10 pm local time on Friday near Nipton in California, not far from the California/Nevada border.
The helicopter left Palm Springs Airport around 8:45 pm and was heading to Boulder City, Nevada which is near Las Vegas. The area was experiencing rainy and snowy conditions at the time of the accident.
The NTSB, the FAA, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are all investigating the crash.
The FAA told Fox News Digital that the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB is in charge of the investigation, and will provide updates.
Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State, released a statement in which he said he was “extremely stunned and devastated” by Wigwe’s passing on X Saturday.
Godwin Obaseki is a Nigerian businessman and politician who is the current Governor of Edo State.
In the crash, Wigwe also lost his wife and son, as well as Abimbola, the former group chair of the Nigeria Stock Exchange.

CNN reported that the investigators plan to return to crash site Sunday to document with a drone. Witnesses said that the helicopter caught on fire after it crashed. Weather conditions at the crash included rain and a wintry mixture.
