Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and authorities are currently conducting an inquiry into the incident. The explosive was detonated the day after Marshall announced he would not implement the state Supreme Court’s contentious new ruling on in vitro fertilization, but his office did not link the two incidents. Marshall stated that on the morning of Saturday, February 24, there was an explosion outside of the Alabama Attorney General’s Office building in Montgomery. Fortunately, there were no injuries to any staff or personnel as a result of the explosion. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency will conduct the investigation and is asking anyone with information to contact them promptly. The statement did not specify whether the device detonated spontaneously or was deliberately exploded by authorities. An inquiry into the device is currently being conducted, according to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall. Photo credit: Alex Wong/Getty Images. The day before the device was exploded, Marshall’s office stated that he did not plan to use the recent Alabama Supreme Court ruling as a reason for charging IVF families or providers.
