Daily Mail publishes:
Critics urge demanding officers to concentrate more on preventing crime and less on their dance moves as a result of the New York City Police Department’s opposition to its recreational dance crew.
The team, which was established in 2022, was created as a place for officers to unwind after their shifts. The dancers perform at city schools, galas, and various events while practicing two to three times per week.
During a recent appearance on PIX 11, President Autumn-Rain Martinez referred to dance rehearsal as” a place to release psychological stress.”
She said,” We need to have a place to decompress.”
As New Yorkers express worries about rising crime and limited resources in the midst of the continuous migrant crisis, the team is receiving a quite common promotion.
According to the mayor’s annual report,” Major crime continued to rise during Mayor Eric Adams ‘ primary fiscal year in office,” the New York Post reported in September.

The New York Post reports:
Fetal crime nearly topped 127, 000 reports over the fiscal year 2023, a 6.4 % increase from the previous year, according to the lengthy Mayor’s Management Report, which covers every aspect of city government and this year mentions the migrant crisis more than two dozen times.
According to the report, which covers the time from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, that is also a more than 35.6 % increase from pre-pandemic times.
Murder and rape were the only two categories that improved, while the rest improved year over year.
The typical response time for all crimes increased by almost two minutes to 14 minutes and 24 seconds at the same time.
Even major and ongoing crimes received weak responses, with serious active incidents taking longer than half a minute to nine minutes and reports of severe crimes taking just over 13 minutes to arrive, which is more than one minute longer.

Daily Mail reports
New York City Police Department faces criticism over its extracurricular dancing crew. Critics are demanding that officers focus on combating crime and less on their dance steps.
The team was founded in 2022 to provide officers with a place to relax after their shifts. The dancers perform at galas, city schools and other events. They practice two to three days a week.
During a recent interview on PIX 11, President Autumn-Rain Martinez referred to dance rehearsals as a ‘place to release mental tension’.
She explained, ‘We need a place to decompress.
The team’s promotion is a very public one, as New Yorkers express concern about the rising crime rate and the strain on resources due to the ongoing migrant crises.
The New York Post reported that in September, “Major crimes continued to increase during Mayor Eric Adams first fiscal year as office – while NYPD response times across the board slowed down,” according to the mayor’s yearly report.

The New York Post
The Mayor’s Management Report — which covers every aspect of city government, and mentions the migrant crises more than twice a year — states that felony crimes nearly topped 127,000 in fiscal year 2023. This is a 6.4% increase from the previous year.
The report, which covers the period between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023, also shows a jump of more than 35.6% from pre-pandemic levels.
Only two categories, murder, and rape, showed an improvement while the rest increased year-over-year.
The average response time for all crimes increased by almost two minutes, to 14 minutes and twenty-four seconds.
Even serious and critical crimes in progress were met with sluggish response times. Critical active incidents took more than half a second to 9 minutes, and reports of serious crime took just over 13 minutes to be attended to by a police officer, which is almost a full minute longer.
