It’s” to dangerous” for your NYC Mayor to visit the border BUT it’s not” to dangerous” to bring the border to US every single damn day?! Let that sink in. https ://t.co/qTc6nivbO6

From The Post Millennial:
This is n’t the first time Mayor Adams called off a trip that was centered around the ongoing migrant crisis his city is facing. Last November, he nixed a meeting with White House officials regarding the migrant crisis after learning of an FBI raid on his chief fundraiser’s home, linked to a probe into his 2021 gubernatorial campaign.
Adams did, however, visit the border past January when he traveled to El Paso. That, Adams called for” distinct coordination” with how immigrants are being brought in and transported throughout the country.
” Our cities are being undermined. And we do n’t deserve this. Migrants do n’t deserve this. And the people who live in the cities do n’t deserve this”, Adams said at the conclusion of his El Paso trip. ” We expect more from our national leaders to address this issue in a true way”.
” Since the spring of 2022, more than 184, 000 migrants have come into our city seeking care, and now, more than 120, 000 of them have been allowed to take the next steps in their journeys towards self sufficiency thanks to our hard work. Finding solutions to regional issues requires nationwide collaboration. We’re humbled and thankful that Sister Norma Pimentel, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande and a nationally recognized charitable, has noticed our efforts and invited us to meet with her and her team at the southern border”, the entire statement from City Hall read.
” As Lent draws to a close, our team was excited to stand with faith and philanthropic leaders who have dedicated their lives to serving the most needy among us and we were willing to discuss our work in New York City and explore new ways to collaborate with leaders in cities across the country, but due to safety concerns at one of the cities we were going to visit in Mexico flagged by the U. S. Department of State we have decided to pause this visit at this time. We hope to continue our partnership with these nationally recognized Latino leaders and organizations as we look for practical solutions to resolve the crisis at the border”, it continued.”}]] [[{“value”:”

The Post-Millennial Generation:
It’s not the first time that Mayor Adams has cancelled a trip centered on the ongoing migrant crises his city is experiencing. He cancelled a meeting in November with White House officials to discuss the migrant issue after learning about an FBI raid at his chief fundraiser’s house, which was linked to an investigation into his mayoral campaign for 2021.
Adams did visit the border in January last year when he visited El Paso. Adams called there for “clear coordination,” with the way immigrants are brought in and transported across the country.
“Our cities are undermining. We don’t deserve it. Migrants do not deserve this. Adams said that the people in the cities didn’t deserve it either. “We expect our national leaders to do more to address this issue in an effective way.”
“Since spring 2022, over 184,000 migrants have sought care in our city. More than 120,000 have taken the next step on their journeys to self sufficiency, thanks to our hardwork. National collaboration is required to find solutions to national problems. We are grateful and humbled that Sister Norma Pimentel – executive director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande, a humanitarian who is internationally recognized – has noticed our efforts, and invited us to join her and her team on the southern border.
Our team was eager to meet with faith and humanitarian leaders, who have dedicated their lives in serving the most vulnerable among us. We were also eager to explore new ways of collaboration with leaders across the country. However, due to safety concerns in one of the cities in Mexico that the U.S. Department of State flagged, we have decided to postpone this visit for the time being. We hope to continue to partner with these Latino leaders and groups as we search for concrete solutions to the crisis at the Border,” it continued.
