According to CNN Business:
Some users discovered that their Facebook accounts had been logged out. Others received Instagram notifications that” something went wrong” and their feeds could n’t be loaded.
Similar to Elon Musk’s X, Threads, Meta’s competitor, also went over, showing users a popup that read,” Something went bad, please try suddenly later” in place of their feed.
Less than 80, 000 people were reporting issues with Facebook, according to Downdetector, about an hour and a half after the outage reports started ticking up. Additionally, Instagram and Messenger reported a sharp decline.
The actual number of damaged users is likely to be higher because DownDetector simply measures the number of users who report issues.
On Tuesday, Meta’s status page reported “major disruptions” affecting Facebook login as well as some other platform-related aspects.

Some users on social media expressed concern that their accounts had been compromised because they had been kicked out of the service and were unable to regain access to their accounts using their passwords.
According to NetBlocks, a global internet monitor,” Meta platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads are already experiencing outages related to login sessions in various countries, incident not related to country-level internet disruptions or filtering.”
According to tech website 9to5Mac, Meta Quest’s unnatural reality headsets were also signed out.

Some users discovered that they had been logged off of their Facebook accounts. Some users received notifications from Instagram saying that “something went awry” and that their feeds couldn’t be loaded.
Threads, Meta’s competitor to Elon Musk’s X, went down as well and showed users a message that read “Something went terribly wrong, please try it again later”.
According to Downdetector, less than 80,000 users reported problems with Facebook about an hour and a quarter after the reports began to accumulate. Reports of problems with Instagram and Messenger also dropped dramatically.
Downdetector only measures users who report problems, so the actual number of users affected is likely to be higher.
Meta’s status update on Tuesday showed that “major disruptions”, including Facebook login, were affecting the platform.
