“}]] 93 years ago today, Alam Aara, the second Indian talking film was released to common appeal. After watching the 1929 British part in the talkie Show Boat, Ardeshir Irani was inspired to make Alam Ara. It was largely shot at night because the studio was close to a railroad track.
