A Boeing 737-800 operated by United Airlines made an emergency landing after a turbulent week and landed in Oregon with a lost additional panel.

” United Flight 433 left San Francisco at 10: 20 a. m. and landed at Rogue Valley International- Medford Airport in Medford quickly before noon, according to FlightAware”, ABC 7 reports.
” The airport’s director, Amber Judd, said the plane landed properly without incident and the outside panel was discovered missing during a post- flight inspection”, the outlet added.

It was just during a “post- landing airline inspection” that the lost panel was discovered, the FAA said. The lost panel, according to CBS News, is located just below the main landing gear’s deployed location on the underside of the aircraft.
According to a statement from United, the aircraft was discovered to be missing an additional panel after being parked at the gate, and it would conduct an” thorough examination of the plane and carry out all the necessary repairs before it returns to service.”
The plane was carrying 139 passengers and six crew members, United said. According to Flight Aware, the flight left San Francisco at 10:20 a.m. and arrived in Medford at 11:36 a.m., according to the website for airline monitoring.

United states that it will “roughly examine the plane, perform repairs, and conduct an investigation to know how the damage occurred.”
The Federal Aviation Administration added that it would look into the situation.
According to United, the missing panel was located just next to the landing gear and on the underside of the aircraft where the wing meets the body.
According to the FAA, the plane made its first flight in April 1998 and was delivered to Continental Airlines in December of that year. United Airlines has operated it since Nov. 30, 2011. It is a 737- 824, part of the 737- 800 series that was a precursor to the Max.
Boeing said, likewise via email, that it would defer comment to United about the carrier’s fleet and operations.
