[[{“value”:”Apparently, the Biden administration is rekindling discussions about declaring a regional climate emergency without authorization.
According to a report from NBC News, Joe Biden would have COVID-like powers under a federal climate emergency, according to ClimateDepot Executive Editor Marc Morano.
” And they also compared the emergency powers to the 9/11 emergency powers”, he added.

Per Bloomberg:
According to people with knowledge of the situation, leading advisers to President Joe Biden have lately resumed discussions about the benefits of a move that could be used to stop crude exports, suspend subsea drilling, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The idea of declaring a climate emergency has divided White House advisers, with some saying it wo n’t give Biden enough newfound authority to implement significant changes, according to the people. Others, but, argue like an announcement would galvanize climate- hearted voters.
Officials have not made a decision on the matter, nor is any declaration inevitable, the people said. White House discussions about possible policy initiatives can go on for years, occasionally never to be successful.
The White House especially did not address the discussions. In an emailed statement, White House spokesperson Angelo Fernandez Hernandez highlighted the president’s current policies, saying Biden has “delivered on the most ambitious climate agenda in history”.
” President Biden has treated the climate crisis as an emergency since day one and will continue to build a clean energy future that lowers utility bills, brings good-paying union jobs, makes our economy the envy of the world, and prioritizes communities that have for very much been left behind,” Hernandez said.
The UN continued to spread its usual fear about the fictitious climate crisis that is destroying the planet.

Reuters reports:
Governments, business leaders and development banks have two years to take action to avert considerably worse climate change, the U. N.’s climate chief said on Wednesday, in a speech that warned global warming is slipping down politicians ‘ agendas.
Scientists believe that decreasing climate-damaging greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 is necessary to stop a rise in temperatures of more than 1.5 Celsius, which would cause more severe weather and heat.
But last year, the world’s energy- relevant CO2 emissions increased to a record high. By 2030, present commitments to combating climate change would hardly reduce global emissions.
The subsequent two years are “essential for saving our planet,” according to Simon Stiell, Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
With a new generation of regional climate plans, we also have a chance to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. But we need these stronger plans, today”, he said.”}]] [[{“value”:”

Bloomberg:
According to people familiar with this matter who declined to be identified because a final decision had not been made, top advisers to Joe Biden recently resumed discussions about the merits and feasibility of such a measure. It could be used to curb crude exports, stop offshore drilling, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The White House advisers have differing opinions on the idea of declaring an emergency climate situation. Some say it would not give Biden enough newfound power to make significant changes, according to the people. Some, however, believe that such an announcement will galvanize climate-minded citizens.
The people stated that no official decision has been made on the issue, and no declaration is imminent. White House discussions on potential policy steps can last for years, and sometimes never come to fruition.
The White House made no specific comments on the discussions. In an email statement, White House spokesperson Angelo Fernandez Hernandez highlighted President Obama’s existing policies and said that Biden “delivered the most ambitious climate-change agenda in history.”
“President Biden treated the climate crisis like an emergency from the very beginning and will continue to build clean energy futures that lower utility bills, create good-paying unions jobs, make our economy the envy around the world, and prioritize communities that have been left behind for too long,” Hernandez said.

Reuters reports
The U.N. climate chief warned on Wednesday that global warming is falling down politicians’ agendas.
Scientists say that halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 will be crucial to preventing a rise of temperatures above 1.5 Celsius, which would lead to more extreme weather conditions and heat.
Last year, however, global CO2 emissions related to energy reached a new record. The current commitments to combat climate change will barely reduce global emissions by 2030.
Simon Stiell Executive Secretary of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change stated that the next two years “are essential in saving our planet”.
“We still have the chance to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with a new generation national climate plans. But we need stronger plans now,” he said.
