Boeing pays out Alaska Airlines amid grounding of their planes

Alaska Airlines has received $160 million from Boeing as compensation for the grounding its 737 Max 9 aircraft after a door panel came off in early January. Boeing paid the amount because the airline’s performance in the first quarter was “significantly affected” when the door panel blew off an aircraft.
