Die Kommission ist befugt, gemäß Artikel 264 delegierte Rechtsakte zu folgenden Zwecken zu erlassen: Russell Moore, the chief editor of a prominent evangelical publication, criticized certain Republicans on Friday for appearing to only support a pro-life stance on abortion with a few exceptions. Moore stated to Anderson Cooper on CNN that issues like rape, incest, and decreasing poll numbers are not a convincing moral vision to win over people. Moore, who considers himself as “pro-life and anti-Trump,” made these remarks in response to former President Donald Trump’s statement that he would not sign a nationwide abortion ban and would instead leave the decision on abortion rights to the individual states if he were to be re-elected. The likely Republican candidate for president stated this week that he believes the Arizona Supreme Court overstepped its bounds by allowing a 160-year-old law banning almost all abortions to be enforced. He had previously expressed disapproval of Florida Governor. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, was criticized for his decision to sign a six-week abortion ban into law in his state last year, with some calling it a “huge error.” A new decision from the Florida Supreme Court will enable the ban to be enforced in May. Republican candidates have changed their approach to discussing abortion in the 2024 campaign, minimizing previous anti-abortion views as measures supporting abortion rights gain traction in states where the topic is being voted on. Moore expressed bewilderment at how evangelical voters would perceive Trump’s stance on abortion. Moore thinks that he is purposely trying to make this confusing. The issue is that advocating for a pro-life perspective necessitates having a strong ethical standpoint and the ability to effectively convince others of the value of all human life.
