Mexico breaks diplomatic ties with Ecuador after embassy arrest

Mexico has cut diplomatic ties after law enforcement officers entered the Mexican Embassy in Quito, Ecuador’s capital, on Friday and arrested the former vice president of Ecuador who had lived there since late last year. The Ecuadorean Police raided the Mexican embassy in Quito, Ecuador’s capital and arrested Jorge Glas. Eduador’s former vice president, who sought asylum there, was arrested.
