” It’s pretty annoying. My remaining side of my face, my mouth and my eye, but yeah, it’s been tough”, Embiid said.
” But I’m not a quitter, but gotta keep fighting. But yeah, it’s terrible. That’s the way I look at it. But it’s not an excuse. Gotta keep pushing”, he added.
Embiid made the diagnosis after scoring a playoff career great with 50 points in the team’s Game 3 victory.
His condition apparently started a day or two before the play-in game against Miami.
Joel Embiid, a Sixers star, has been receiving treatment for a light case of Bell’s palsy for the previous week, according to ESPN Sources. The play-in victory over Miami was the start of the condition, but he has wanted to keep it personal to prevent his team from getting sidetracked.

Embiid claimed that the condition has occasionally affected his vision, making it foggy, and that he has to continuously apply drops to his eye to prevent it from getting too dry. He added that it’s not known how much the condition could last, but that it might take weeks or months.
” I just hope that it could stay like this”, Embiid said before adding with a smile,” I got a beautiful face. When my mouth is looking the other way, I do n’t like it.
” Like I said, terrible situation, but everything happens for a reason. Like I said, I gotta take care of myself psychologically.”
Despite dealing with the condition, Embiid was able to deliver a powerful performance that supported his powerful declaration in the visitors ‘ locker room on Monday night. After Philadelphia’s collapse in the closing seconds of Game 2, Embiid said that the 76ers would win the series.
A 2021 USA TODAY article disclosed Embiid received the empirical COVID- 19 shot.

After missing nine games, just two of which the Sixers won, with a good COVID- 19 test, Joel Embiid made his long-awaited return to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.
It should n’t come as a surprise that the Sixers struggled for stretches during his first game in three weeks, even though Embiid was a welcome sight to anyone associated with the team.
On the way to a 121-120 double-overtime defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Wells Fargo Center, Embiid and the Sixers were weak at the start, which meant they had to play from behind almost all night.
Embiid was thrilled to be back after” that ( COVID ) jawn hit me hard” and resulted in him having trouble breathing and” headaches worse than a migraine.”
” I mean, I really thought I was n’t going to make it,” said Embiid, who is vaccinated”. It was that poor. I’m proud to be sitting around.”

Embiid says the condition can cause his vision to be blurry at times. He also says he has to constantly put drops in his eyes to prevent them from becoming too dry. He said that it is unclear how long this condition will last, but it could last for weeks or even months.
“I hope it can stay this way,” Embiid said, before adding with a grin, “I have a beautiful face.” I don’t like it when my mouth looks the other way.
“Like I’ve said, unfortunate circumstance, but everything happens with a purpose.” Like I said, it’s important to take care of yourself mentally.
Despite his condition, Embiid managed to put on a historic performance that backed up the emphatic statement he made in the visitors’ locker rooms at Madison Square Garden, Monday night. Embiid predicted that the 76ers will win the series after Philadelphia’s collapsed in the final seconds of Game 2.

Embiid’s first game after three weeks was a welcome sight to anyone associated with the Sixers. However, it wasn’t a surprise that they struggled at times.
Embiid, the Sixers and the Minnesota Timberwolves were sluggish from the start. They had to play almost all night from behind to lose 121-120 in double overtime to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Embiid is happy to be back, after “that (COVID jawn) hit me hard”, resulting in him having breathing problems and “headaches worse that a migraine”.
