UPDATE: Multiple Law Enforcement Officers Killed In Charlotte Area Shooting

A U.S. Marshals Task Force attempted to execute a warrant for a convicted felon to possess a gun, which was the beginning of the shooting. Authorities claimed that the person who was the subject of the warrant during a Monday evening press briefing was the one who first opened fire. That suspect, who was afterwards identified as 39- year- ancient Terry Clark Hughes, Jr., was killed in the shootout, police said.
According to Charlotte police, Hughes was even wanted on two counts of felony flee to elude escaping from Lincoln County, North Carolina.
Two shooters may have been involved, according to police. They said two persons of interest, a 17- year- older and a woman, were taken to the police station for further investigation.
Police Chief Johnny Jennings stated during the press conference that” we have two people of interest at the police station who are currently being questioned.” And we have confirmed that the person who was put up for the execution of the warrant was the one who fired the first shots and was found dead in the front yard at the conclusion of everything.”
One deputy and two task force officers were among the three killed in the shootout, which occurred in the U.S. Marshals Task Force. A police officer from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s ( CMPD ) department also passed away from his injuries later on Monday evening, according to a statement from the organization.

WCNC reports that “CMPD chief Johnny Jennings confirmed that Joshua Eyer was the Charlotte police officer killed on Monday.”
Sam Poloche and Alden Elliott were two of the officers with the U.S. Marshals task force who were killed, according to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC ). The various officer killed was with the U. S. Marshals and has not been named”, the outlet added.

According to CMPD, Joshua Eyer was shot in the line of duty this Monday afternoon after helping another officers with the arrest of a suspect. Eyer served for six years and was a member of the 178th Recruit Class.
Two of the members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force were veterans of the NC Department of Adult Corrections, according to the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections.
Sam Poloche and Alden Elliott have been given the names. Poche leaves behind a wife and two children, and Elliott and his wife were the parents of one child.
Police claim that as the task force attempted to execute a warrant for the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, they were met with gunfire from inside a home when officers struck the suspect and shot him before the suspect was pronounced dead in the back yard.

According to Charlotte Police, Hughes was wanted for two counts felony fleeing to escape out of Lincoln County in North Carolina.

WCNC reports that “CMPD chief Johnny Jennings has confirmed that Joshua Eyer is the Charlotte police officer who was killed on Monday,” WCNC.
“The North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections (NCDAC) has confirmed that Sam Poloche, and Alden Ell were two of the officers from the U.S. The Marshals task force was killed. The other officer killed was from the U.S. The other officer killed was with the U.S.

CMPD reported that officer Joshua Eyer, who was assisting other officers in the arrest of a suspect on Monday afternoon, was shot while performing his duty. Eyer was a six-year veteran and a member of 178th Recruit class.
The North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections reported that two of the members of U.S. Marshals Task Force members were NC Department of Adult Correction veterans.
Sam Poloche was identified as the suspect and Alden Elliot was identified as the suspect. Poloche leaves behind two children and a wife, while Elliott and his spouse were parents of one child.
The police say that as the task force was trying to serve a warrant for the possession of a gun by a convicted felon they were met with gunfire coming from inside a house. Officers returned fire and struck the suspect. This person was declared dead in the front yard.
As the officers approached this individual, they claim they were met with more gunfire coming from within the home. After a long standoff the officers cleared the house and found two females who were brought to the police station.
