Arizona’s Hobbs signs repeal of 1864 abortion ban

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs, a Democrat, signed a bill Thursday that repealed the state’s 1864 ban on abortion. This was just one day after the GOP-controlled Senate passed it. The repeal will not take effect until 90-days after the state Legislature adjourns the year. There is no end in sight. It’s likely that the 1864 law will be repealed.
