Per CBS News:
Trump is a previous president, and wherever he ends up, he will be entitled to Secret Service protection for the rest of his life. Corrections officers would then be in charge of keeping those Trump-assigned agents safe behind bars.
One of the many variables that is still up in the air is where Trump might serve any jail or prison sentence. The city’s Rikers Island Jail Complex, which has two wings that are usually used for high-profile or notorious inmates, offers shorter sentences. ( Neither, of course, has ever held someone who comes with his own security detail. )
Officials must have a plan in place, just in case, said Levin.
” He could be remanded on the spot”, Levin said.

The Daily Wire reports:
POLITICO reported that the presiding judge would schedule a distinct hearing to determine a sentence if Trump were found guilty in New York. He might never be convicted, but there are other options, such as community service or probation, that might be available.
Judge Juan Merchan rebuked defense attorney Todd for suggesting to the jury that Trump might face jail time if found guilty during the closing arguments, according to The Washington Post.
” That was ridiculous, Mr. Blanche. Someone who’s been a prosecutor as long as you have, someone who’s been an attorney as long as you have knows that is very inappropriate”, he said.
Merchan apparently stated that he would give the jury a curative instruction after a lunch break.
” President Trump is stupid. He did not commit any crimes, and the district attorney has never met their burden of proof, period”, defense attorney Todd Blanche said during the closing arguments, according to the Associated Press.
FINAL AUDITION: Todd Blanche, the attorney for Trump, is completely destroying the case. He’s pointed out how Cohen’s entire testimony ca n’t be taken seriously.

From the Associated Press:
Blanche addressed the jury for an hour, attacking the prosecution’s justification for Trump’s claim that he conspired to conceal calm money payments made on his behalf in order to thwart a porn actor’s claim that she had a physical encounter with him ten years ago.
With sweeping denials mirroring his client’s “deny everything” approach, Blanche countered the prosecution’s portrayal of Trump as a detail- oriented manager who paid conscientious attention to the checks he signed, disputed the contention that Trump and the porn actor, Stormy Daniels, had sex, and rejected the idea that the alleged hush money scheme amounted to unlawful interference in the election.
Every campaign in this country is a plot to advance a candidate, Blanche said.” Everyone is working together to help someone win,” Blanche said.
The jury has a significant and generally exceptional task to complete after more than four weeks of testimony as it decides whether to convict the presumed Democratic presidential nominee just months before the November election. As Robert De Niro’s campaign staged an event outside the courthouse with President Joe Biden’s campaign, Blanche kept the political ramifications in mind as the case was being heard by the jury as Blanche explained to them that the outcome was hardly a vote on whether or not they would support Trump.”}]] [[{“value”:”

CBS News:
As a former President, Trump has the right to Secret Service protection throughout his life, no matter where he is. Behind bars, corrections agents would be responsible for protecting Trump’s agents.
The exact location of Trump’s jail or prison is still unknown. Rikers Island Jail Complex in New York City has two wings which are usually reserved for high-profile and infamous inmates. (Neither has, of course ever held anyone who comes with their own security detail.
Levin said that officials must be prepared for any eventuality.
Levin said that “he could be remanded immediately”.

The Daily Wire reports
POLITICO reported that if Trump is convicted of a crime in New York, the presiding judge will schedule a separate court hearing to determine his sentence. He may not have to serve any prison time. Other options include probation or community service.
The Washington Post reports that during closing arguments, Todd, the defense lawyer, was scolded by Judge Juan Merchan because he suggested to the jury Trump could be sent to jail if found guilty.
“That was outrageous Mr. Blanche. “Anyone who has been a prosecutor for as long as I have, or an attorney for as long as I have knows this is highly inappropriate,” said Blanche.
Merchan reportedly also announced that he’d give a curative directive to the jury after a lunchtime break.
“President Trump’s innocence is unquestionable.” “He did not commit any crime, and the District Attorney has not met their duty of proof, period,” said Todd Blanche, the defense attorney, during the closing arguments.

Just in: Todd Blanche, Trump’s lawyer, is destroying the case completely during closing arguments. He has pointed out that Cohen’s testimony cannot be taken seriously.

The Associated Press:
Blanche spent hours addressing the jury in an attempt to undermine the case. The prosecution accuses Trump of conspiring to conceal payments made to him during the 2016 presidential election to suppress a porn actress’ claim that she had sexually interacted with Trump a decade before.
Blanche’s sweeping denials mirrored his client’s “deny all” approach. She disputed the prosecution’s portrayal that Trump was a detail-oriented executive who paid attention to the checks that he signed. She also disputed that Trump and porn actress Stormy Daniels had sex. And she rejected the idea that hush money amounted illegal interference in an election.
Blanche said, “Every campaign is a conspiracy in this country to promote a particular candidate. A group of people working together to help someone win.”
The summations, which follow more than four weeks’ worth of testimony, present a monumental and historically unprecedented task to the jury. It will decide whether or not to convict the Republican presumptive presidential nominee months before the November elections. The political implications were evident as the campaign of President Joe Biden staged an outside event with actor Robert De Niro, while Blanche reminded the jury that the case wasn’t a referendum about their views on Trump.
